OVERVIEW:
The Scouts needed a distinct visual identity for the UK contingent team at Roverway, a fun, challenging European event for Scouts and Guides aged 16-22. It takes place every 3-6 years, and the next Roverway will be held in Norway in July 2024. Over 3,000 young people from 20 countries will attend this exciting event.

THE OUTCOME
The identity I created delivers a perfect blend of adventure and Nordic aesthetic. Delving into the history of Norway, this identity portrays a Viking boat with three shields, symbolising togetherness and a journey of friendship. The dragon’s head on the front of the boat faces East, pointing in the direction of Norway as if to set sail from the UK. The sail on the boat features the Union Jack flag to represent the UK contingent. The waves are calm and minimal in their Scandinavian style of simplicity, they also act as a divider to the text beneath the waves.
