Welcome to Studio Notes

I've been thinking about writing a blog for what feels like ages, so here goes. Just like opening a brand new sketchbook, the hardest part is often the first page. So rather than overthinking it, I’m just starting. As we're coming up to halfway point of 2026, I've been thinking a lot about how the year has shaped up so far and what I want from the rest of it. One of the things I've been working on this year has been showing up more. I've joined several networks for freelancers and designers, shared more of my work online, my creative process, and generally trying to be more visible and put myself out there.

This blog feels like an extension of that. You can expect a mix of branding, editorial design, event projects, creative process and the odd studio update too. I'll be sharing a mix of project stories, design thoughts, behind the scenes, and lessons I've learnt along the way. A little glimpse of what I’m what I'm working on, how I approach design projects, and what it's like to work with me.
